Terms and Conditions

The promotion will be executed over a three ( 3 ) month period, from Tuesday April 9 to Sunday July 7, 2024

VM Building Society credit cardholders will enter for a chance to win experiential prizes and will be apportioned as follows: 

  • Grand Prize: An all-expense paid trip for 2 (inclusive of winner) to Punta Cana for 5 days and 4 nights. 
  • Second Prize: An all-expense paid 4-day -3-night weekend for 2 (inclusive of winner) to Couples Resorts Tower Isle. 
  • Third Prize: An all expense paid, all access pass to Chukka Adventure Park, Ocho Rios, Island Triple Motorized Adventure for 2 (inclusive of winner). 

The promotion will be marketed locally using traditional and digital media and through our sixteen (16) branches across the island. Marketing of the promotion will begin with a media launch on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, via digital advertising on all our social media platforms (@myvmgroup on Instagram, X, and Threads, as well as ‘VM Group’ on YouTube and Facebook) and website (www.myvmgroup.com) frequented by our target audience. Advertising will continue through to Sunday, July 7, 2024, with post-promotion activities highlighting the winners thereafter.  

Below are the detailed terms and conditions of the promotion: 

  1. Entrants must be Twenty (20) years or older and must be the primary account holder of a VM Visa Gold Credit Card or a VM Visa Platinum Credit Card. 
  2. Eligible entries are based on the Primary Cardholder’s Account in respect of Transactions conducted on the Card Account with a minimum purchase of JMS$20,000.00 or USD equivalent.  
  3. Primary Cardholder’s Account must have all minimum monthly payments being made on or before the due date for payments during the promotional period and the Account must maintain Good Standing. 
  4. Each qualified transaction is based on posted date of a dollar value not less than JMS$20,000.00 or USD equivalent recorded on the credit card account between April 9, 2024, up to July 7, 2024 shall be automatically entered in this promotion, subject to the transactions specifically excluded as listed below.
  5. The following Card activities shall not be deemed eligible transactions for entry in the Promotion: 

(a) any fees applied to the Card Account including annual fee;  

(b) any interest charges applied to the Card Account; 

(c) any cash advances;  

(d) any loan payment and other associated fees made using the Credit Card, processed as cash advance transactions 

(e) any refund or cancellation of transactions   

(f) any unauthorized and/or disputed transaction  

(g) any Card cancelled or terminated pursuant to the Cardholders’ Agreement 

  1.   1. The Grand Prize Drawing will be conducted on Monday, July 22, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m. at the VM Group Corporate Office, 73-75 Half-Way Tree Road, Kingston 10. 
  2. Winners will be randomly selected electronically using the VM Prize Draw System. The order of selection will be from grand prize winner to third place winner. Four (4) alternate winners will be selected for each prize. All draws will be supervised by the selected auditors and as required, the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC). 
  3. All winners will be drawn on the Draw Date.  In the event VMBS is unable to contact the winners via the information on record within three (3) business days of the Draw Date, VMBS reserves the right to select an alternate winner. 
  4. VMBS reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants.  
  5. Verification of winning entries will be completed within three (3) working days of the draw. Five (5) attempts will be made to contact each selected winner by telephone and an email within five (5) working days of verification. Should the call not be answered, a voicemail will be left. All winners will be advised and announced in the media no later than ten (10) business days after the Member has been contacted and verified as the winner of the promotion.  
  6. VMBS reserves the right to use the names and photographs of the winners in its advertisements or other promotional material in the digital and print media. Winners who refuse to have their names and photographs appear in the media will automatically forfeit their prize. 
  7. All winners are required to present a valid government issued identification to collect the prize (Passport, Drivers’ License or National ID).  
  8. The Winner of the Grand Prize and their travelling guest/s must hold a valid Passport. 
  9. Traveling guests of the grand prize winners must be at least 18 years old at the time of travel.  
  10. The second-place prize winner (trip for 2 to Couples Resorts Tower Isle) is only required to pay US$4 per night (3 nights) for Government Tax. 
  11. Winners have up to Twenty-Eight (28) days of being contacted to collect their prize, failing which the prize will be deem forfeited. 
  12. All eligible participants agree to the Official Rules.  
  13. All decisions by VMBS, in respect of all matters relating to the Promotion including the choice of Winner(s), with consultation and prior approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Act, shall be final. 
  14. Winners shall be solely responsible for any changes made to prizes.  
  15. Prizes will not be substituted for cash and are not transferrable. 
  16. Winners and their guests will be responsible for any expenses not explicitly stated as part of the prize, (for example but not  limited to cost of travel documents including passport renewals, taxes, long distance phone calls, room service, laundry, mini-bar items, loss of hotel property, damage to hotel property or any other expenses incurred at the hotel, personal expenses not covered under the prize, shopping, transportation to local sites, food expenses not covered under the prize).
